Arthur Pechey Annual School SMART Goal!
Our Annual School SMART Goal this year is focusing in the areas of Reading Level and Comprehension. We have lots of fun things planned to help 'grow our readers' with our Growing Readers Challenge Tree where students can 'tweet' their favorite book and win prizes. We will be participating daily in school-wide reading and, as well monthly spirit days and assemblies. Together we will all engage in deeper level thinking and learn different strategies and tools for use at school and home!
Peacekeeper Training Day!
On Monday September 29th we will be having our Peacekeeper Training Day. We are excited to have Mrs. McConechy working with us today!

"I Love Fall"
I have really enjoyed reading our classes descriptive writing on why they love the Fall. Throughout the month of October I will share samples of my grade 5's fabulous Descriptive Writing.
Who Am I?
I thought I would give a little background on what keeps me busy when I'm not at school with your child. I'm a wife and a mother of two beautiful children. My husband Troy is a highschool teacher for Sask Rivers as well. My son Tye is six years old and has just started his grade one year at Vickers. My daughter Emily is three years old going on thirteen. She goes to a day home part time and attends Wee Care preschool as well. She is loving being a "big girl" like her brother! They sure are growing up too fast! I opened a business in Prince Albert a year ago this October. It is called, Serendipity Bra Boutique. I'm so very proud of it. This has been a year full of learning curves and I have loved every minute of it. My family is my world and any spare moment I have is spent loving them. We love the outdoors, baking, making crafts, going to the lake and traveling whenever we get a chance to. My children are busy with their activities. Tye has just started his hockey season and Emily just began taking her first dance class. Our home is busy! This is just a little peak into my life. I look forward to getting to know all of you throughout this year.

I'm so excited for our grade 5 year ahead. These past few weeks have been really great getting to know your child. I truly believe that I'm so blessed to be able to spend my days teaching and helping your child grow. I look forward to posting weekly on our classroom blog. I will include upcoming important events, important assignments and projects along with their due dates. Have a lovely day!
